Does the 748 E have the backing plates on the frame to retro fit the dzus fasteners or would you have to make them work?
You buy the two parts for each clip together. Get good quality ones which are expensive. You may also need plastic washers to "shim" the clips to the perfect thickness for the clips to work perfectly.
Thanks for that, just wondered if the 748E has the lugs on the frame to simply attach to or of you have to modify the frame to accept them
The 748 e uses a clip on nut and bolts instead of dzus fastener recepticals. I can't be 100% sure as I don't have an e but I would be very surprised if the brackets were any different. However, I have used clip on nuts instead of dzus on my 916 at some point. They're the same size and are interchangeable on my bike.
I had bolts on my 1098 and went to Dzus with no issues. The clips the fasteners go into simply replace the ones the bolts screw into. Hopefully it will be the same on the 748. Mine were in a lot from Speedy Fasteners. Hope that’s useful.
