Hi All Been a while since I made the original post - I elected to get on and enjoy the bike over the summer and tackle the not working tacho once the season had come to an end So....here we go Further developments since my original post: - I have used my multimeter to check the output between the green/grey and earth (i used the metal headlight frame). There is a signal, and it is variable with revs. I would therefore assume that the ECU is firing out a signal and at this time will assume it is the correct one (as found by Luigi Moto). I tested both voltage and Hz% - and both were increasing with increased revs. - While poking about, I accidently bridged the connection between the Yellow/White on the loom side, and blue wire that enters the tacho. This turned the oil pressure light on (which also hadn't been working). - I've checked the voltage across the battery. 12.7 at rest and 13.7 running with some moderate revs (couldn't tell you what as i don't have tacho, but i wasn't ripping the nuts off it!!). This would seem to indicate that the charging circuit and RR are working correctly? I am now pondering 2 options 1. The tacho is just duff 2. There is a bad earth I don't have a signal generator to test the tacho, and I am unsure how to check the earth (any advice?). I have nipped the 3 screws up on the back as tight as I dare. Any further advice on next steps? Places to poke the multimeter without me blowing fuses (yes....i did that as well) Cheers Alex
Ive been looking at I cant see a part number. Its a "Ducati Racing" with Min-1x1000 in the bottom right corner. I understand there are a fair few variations!
Cheers! Hopefully I've attached some pictures. I've also got a 16M ECU. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Look the same wiring wise https://www.stein-dinse.com/it/duca...rhsnCPzRwbONjyPHWAcjGNdW3cBOV0hJqPbvnX-Ss4fhE
OK. Im not 100% if they are interchangable or not. Do you know what model of ECU you have? If both bikes are running the same i guess they are compatible
