  2. You've gotta be careful at this time of year cus those sticky out bush branches can sometimes be gert big bramble stems and I've heard a few horror stories of these whipping back into guys driving tractors....

  3. Although I notice 2 owners in 3500 miles on that BM didn't think so - suspect it was used as an A2 learner bike.

  4. Yesterday i wasn't feeling like one of Mrs Visors grand "tours" again, so we did a nice 87 mile route, going to the Postcard Cafe in Clun, across to Knighton, the cafe at Shobdon Airfield and then back home, me on the Multistrada and her on the Hyperstrada.

I've not been to the Postcard Cafe before, whereas Mrs Visor has been a fair few times, so she was feeling the pressure destination-wise, but you cannot fail to enjoy the food and coffee there so suitably impressed!

    This was the approximate route:

  5. It's a nice small cafe, only been in a couple of times over the years as it's too close to my start point to be worthy of a stop and then also too far away when I'm returning.

The public toilets in the car park have been a godsend on more than one occasion. I really must make the effort to visit what's left of the castle.

  7. monster ds1000
one morning last week, i selected first and realised that the clutch hadnt released. onto the firestorm for the ride to work. i suppose thats the price to be paid, for an 'open' clutch cover - and riding in the rain . that said, i rode through the cumbrian summer without issue. there were lots of wet days.

clutch plates removed, and cleaned. a few were stuck together. normal operation returned.

the friction plates are within 0.1mm of the limit, so a couple of spare sets ordered. ordered a clutch cover too.

  8. Finished mapping my 1199 with its new exhaust. Didn't didn't quite make 200 rwhp but it's not bad for a bog standard 1199
Other line is when it was running an underbelly WSB system

  9. I've tired to go there on a number of occasions but it's always been on the homeward leg of a ride and as a result of being later in the day they're always closed. Must give it a go anti-clockwise and make it the late breakfast stop.

  10. Fitted and had activated a raised (+30mm), heated seat for my V4 Pikes Peak. First impressions after a 30 mile ride home, it’s firm but not uncomfortable (read not painful). Andy

  11. And with a rather large bit of luck, you might be able to use about 50-60% of it when riding out on the road, assuming that is, that is where you will be riding it.......
    Good job! :upyeah::upyeah:

  12. Track only bike, and more specifically for Almería where you get banned if the bike is too quiet;);)

  13. 2 hours from a standing start to do the front plug on a 959. Ducati designers want a smack in the chops.
Take 2 rows of the bottom of the radiator and it would be easy

  14. I make do with 10% of that!

  19. Went out for about 80 miles this morning, very impressed with the flaps, hardly any cold air now, £50 well spent.
