Sold some bits at the weekend so came into town to put a cash wad in the bank and thought, sod it. Sat in front of a pint of Ashai and waiting on a Donburi Andy
finally got my E bike parts in the post, and very pleased with the quality. People are quick to knock Chinese manufactured stuff but I honestly can't fault this. The free hub bearings had become sloppy and it was enough to make a gear change difficult (and we all know about that on this forum don't we!?). I probably could've dismantled it and changed the bearings but I've just got to that stage in life where it's easier to cough up sometimes, besides it doesn't owe me anything as it's done over 4000 miles. P.S.I intended to enclose a picture but for some reason the forum won't allow this, despite the file size
Cleared up a shit load of leaves, trimmed the conifers (they're supposed to be dwarfs!) dead headed the roses -probably for the last time, and put away the hammock. Always a bit of shame when you have to accept there won't be an Indian summer...again.
Did a 300km loop to the Gorge de Verdon with a mate. I'm so NOT bike fit..everything aches. <<photo won't upload, so you'll have to imagine>>
Well I had another episode in my fitness class so the cardiac nurse did some basic tests and then thought it was serious and referred me to A&E in Cramlington. I'm still at the hospital having tests and bloods taken etc......that was around 2pm and I'm still here now! 2nd ECG and bloods done and now waiting for a doctor to turn up to discuss the results But the nurse has said the initial reports suggest all my heart readings are spot on and they aren't overly concerned......but given the cardiac arrest they are double checking all bloods. They think this could have been a digestive problem but won't commit till they get the 2nd lot of results. My ECG was perfect apparently Either way I'm in here for the next 2 hours
Well they're keeping me in overnight and monitoring me. I feel ok but apparently the bloods are not sufficiently low enough to let me go home.
I had a perfect ECG at my Doctor's surgery 9 years ago; 6 hours later I was blue lighted into hospital with what turned out to be a 90% blockage in one artery and a 50% blockage in another. Consequently I have about as much faith in ECGs as some other people have in PSA tests. Good luck with it, hope they sort it out for you.
Hope it goes well El Tel, but probably a good idea to keep you in. You don’t want another episode like the last one.
Keep us posted Tel, hopefully you'll be back home this morning. It wasn't the class full of lycra clad grannies that set the old ticker off, was it?
@El Toro, Terry, I and I’m sure all the forum regulars are hoping you have a speedy recovery and no more repetition episodes. No point in saying, time to slow down a bit but please, dial it back, just a little bit Andy
