Some of my policies have allowed modifications at no extra cost, however they have usually had a clause that I have to inform them of those changes.
Yes I do, it was for my Monster when I was enquiring about getting it remapped at my last renewal in July, I told them I'd put a new end can on it, and I also mentioned it was one of their approved mods, and I later had to list it in an email: "Regarding exhaust, I already fitted one last year, this is one of the your approved mods. It is just an end can, NOT the full system. Otherwise nothing else to change air flow or fuel delivery.: I made it clear to them that it was for smoother running and wouldn't be increasing the BHP of the bike. In one of the more bizarre things that's happened to me in life, my premium actually went DOWN by £100 from what I was initially quoted at renewal - I of course queried this, they said that the mod had triggered a re-quote and because the market had changed or something like that it can mean the quote comes out lower. I was just so happy I didn't bother arguing with them. see also: https://www.bennetts.co.uk/help-centre/help/modifications/standard
