New Hyper To Be Announced On 4th November

  1. I don’t know where they get this from. I have had everything up to 200hp which is totally unusable for normal road use.
I think the new Streetfighter engine is excellent, smooth, pulls from low down, sounds great with the Termi system and I haven’t ran out of fuel like I did on the V4.
It’s as fast as anything on the twisty roads, maybe quicker than bigger bikes as it is light.
No it doesn’t have the pull your arms off power, but on the big bikes you cannot enjoy it.
The engine feels very similar to my 890R Duke which is also a great bike for our roads.

  2. But has it got a holder for energy drinks?

  3. Just the other week I was chatting with a mate, and we were both saying it won't be long before we ditch the big heavy bikes, and go for something less powerful. This bike has ticked those boxes, so we'll see.

  4. Did you not recently sell a hyper 950?
The new one looks far better than I thought it would.
My current one is going no where with all the changes I've made to it but I wouldn't say no to the new one.
Would it be insane to own both at the same time:upyeah:

  5. Yep, I sold mine last year. Cracking bike, but it wasn’t getting ridden, plus I needed the money for something else. I’m wondering if the new Hyper could be an only bike, bearing in mind I normally do a 2k trip every year.

  6. pondering the same thing - and i don't do the touring stuff on my RS. take our bikes in a van to Europe and just hoon around. tad cheaper too :)

  7. I realise I'm biased owning the OG, but the Hyper seems to be moving further and further from its design brief.
Personally I cant see why you would not buy the Streetfighter instead of this.
Who is this targeted at ? I guess younger riders with some folding.

  8. I know what you mean. For the riding I do these days the hyper is perfect for me and that's why six years on I still own it.
Had some crazy thoughts of selling the 1200R and getting the new hyper, but if I did, those white wheels would have to go.

  9. Don't say that.I'm not far off retirement and love the hyper:)
And for me personally,I much prefer the design of the hyper over the streetfighter.

  10. Hyper and Streetfighter are entirely different bikes.
Riding positions are chalk and cheese.

  11. You can tour on anything if you choose the roads carefully.

  12. Apparently they look great in the flesh. I’m not convinced, yet.

  13. I didn't really pay much attention to the news of the release until I saw the Bike World video, Chris seems fairly positive about so I'm keen to see what the tests are like.
