Has anyone changed out the stop tail light on the Rally? I know where the bolts are but I cant figure out how to get to them
I put a carbon fibre RS tail unit onto a Pikes Peak a couple of months back. I’m fairly sure that to get at the bolts that hold the rear light in place you need to split the passenger grab handle part, no.1 in this diagram https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/d...-V4-Rally-Radar/PASSENGER-HANDLE/902/49/0/902 from the plate underneath, no.3 in this diagram https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/d...ada-V4-Rally-Radar/REAR-SUBFRAME/902/38/0/902 If you undo bolts 10 & 11 the plate will drop down from the rear subframe and you should be able to get at the rear light retaining bolts. Curious as to why you want to change it and what for. It’s a complete sealed unit.
Thanks for the info Im changing it out due to it being smashed to pieces after my rear tyre decided to delaminate itself and destroy the back end of the bike.
It was a 1500 mile old road 6, Michelin have taken it back to France for them to inspect it so hopefully ill get something back from it
