  1. Very nice but can't justify the price.

  2. Yes, the pricing is pretty high. I guess they will use some decent finance offers to entice people.

If money was no object, it’s a cracking looking bike and would be a LOT of fun I’m sure!

  3. I wouldn't say no. It does look a nice improvement on the 950.
Big gap as well between the sp and base.

  4. It’s naughty and sexy as a hyper should be, but it’s disappointing to see the rider no longer wears MX boots.

    Once a holigan…

  5. I love it, absolutely stunning, but like others I am not sure it would do everything well enough to have it as an only bike and even the base model is pricey. I’d probably in my particular position have to opt for the older 950 model, as it probably has a little bit more ‘raw’ character which is sort of what I want in that kinda bike.

  6. Fair points all round! The more I see it the more I like it as well. Look forward to getting out for a test on one as soon as it’s possible next year to do so. Until then, looking forward to seeing it properly at Motorcycle Live next week.

  7. Anybody here planning one off these?
Last night i booked 2 nights stay in Edinburgh with my lads for the Scottish bike show in March to get a look at it in person, Was speaking to Ducati Glasgow today and they say they wont be there this year :( On a good note ive just bit the bullet today and put down a deposit and looking at April - May to take delivery

  8. Huge congratulations! That is going to be an incredible bike! Perfect time of year to take delivery as well. Look forward to hearing what you think!

To accompany the 1299, I’ve recently become the owner of a 2024 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. Doing a fair few bits to it. It’s the most fun I’ve had on a bike. Absolutely loving it.

  10. Sat on it at the NEC a few weeks back. Looks verty nice. Possibly it might be a bit more compact than the 950 version but maybe just my imagination. Its certainly very different from it.
Don't like the white wheels on the SP.

  11. A nice bike, although they haven't learned anything from the 2007 model in terms of fuel capacity. I bought an 1100S back then—I still have it—but I had to buy a different bike because the reserve light comes on after 80-90 miles. Not very practical when traveling through Europe. This V2 also has a 12-liter tank. The 950 with 14.5 [125mls] ltr was more practical

What are the experiences with the new V2 fuel consumption?

  12. Don’t think ‘practical’ is high on the design list of a supermoto.
My 698 does about 100 miles to the fuel light. Let it run dry though and it goes into limp mode and needs a reset.

  13. The SP is stunning in the metal, saw/drooled over it at EICMA.

  14. So is a reset something you can do ? Please God tell me its not a Ducati thing.

  15. With a £25 OBD device, yes.

If i am going out for the day on it, i will often take the OBD with me though no doubt any garage or breakdown truck will have one.

  16. I ran the demo bike dry and it didn't drop into limp mode.

  17. Dry til it stopped running?

  18. I never heard of a bike going into limp mode when it's run out of fuel. The only time any of mine have gone into limp when there's no actual fault has been when the battery is worn out and isn't holding a full charge so when the voltage drops too low on starting it triggers various sensors. My car is the same.

  19. Yes completely dry, from memory I only managed 15 miles from Yellow light to pushing it to Welshpool.

My GasGas has slightly better range from the light but not by much, that doesn't drop into limp mode either.
