  1. Ain't that the case... marvellous things when booming along a suitably fast and sinuous road but they're one dead lump of heavy metal when pushing 'em around the garage. And hernia inducing if you ever have the misfortune of it toppling off the side stand.

  2. 100% correct. 350 Desmo can be slung over shoulder and walked up the stairs by comparison...

  3. My bevel twin is not as heavy as my Multistrada.

  4. Technically correct but the bevels always felt weightier IMO. I'm quite short though at 5'9" so perhaps height plays a part.

  7. Just no

Overpriced, on eBay I seem to recall.

  8. i like some grey cars, and i think it's still currently a "trendy" colour but just looks wrong on a 748.

  9. Not a bad colour, but not fairing, wheels and frame. 4-5 on eBay.

  10. Big dislike at first but the more I look at it the more I like it:bucktooth: Especially the seat unit.
Go on - call me weird :D

  12. i know what you mean Keith - i am still wavering a little.

I had a little car just like this, and it was my favourite colour ever for this shape - had a blue one, and a cream one but grey was best.

footnote - those wacky Italians - you see those front indicators*? (not the sidemarkers*) - they are handed!!

  13. Little cars "just like this" were Ladas!

  14. it's a totally different car Derek, there really is no comparison between the two despite looking fairly similar, and although it might not appeal to some, the "three box" styling was by far the most sensible for the role that it played.

  15. I'm tempted as I'd make a silly offer, but currently haven't the garage/storage space
Need to sell my BMW R1200S to make space...

  16. Yes, I know Chris. I was just winding you up.:)
That car is an Alfa. The Lada and some other Eastern European and Turkish cars were based on the not unsimilar looking Fiat 125.
