  1. So after 5 years its bye bye gt3 and hello who knows what
im going to see an s2 exige tomorrow but if anyone has any ideas on how to waste 25-30k on a fun car let me know immediately. no cabs, no japanese stuff, id love a terry 350c but i dont have big enough cajones. i could get a cayman but unless its a gt4 id feel short changed coming out the gt3.
im also waiting for the right vito to come along

  4. Schitroen C1. By coincidence I can let you have mine for substantially less than your budget. :upyeah:

  5. Depends what you want to do in it, and what you want from it. Also which GT3 are you exiting? A 996 vs 997 vs 991 vs 992 is a fairly diverse bunch, before you even dig in on the .1 vs .2 iterations. :)

For the road / road trips a 982 Cayman S has been a great companion for the last couple of years, running costs and ease of maintenance plus the low-down punch of the turbo 2.5 motor compared to the top end of the normally aspirated 4.0 makes for real-world grins... and 38mpg is not to be sniffed at either. :)

  7. Nice. For the road or track?

  8. good question
exige wants me on track but im also thinking of getting back into a 968 (i had a guards red CS) or 944 (guards red s2) for a more GT style experience

  9. cayman gt4 needs to be 10k less for it to be a contender

  10. 968, but I am slightly biased.
Had one for ten years, superb engine, linear acceleration, looks cool.

  11. 944 Turbo S (extra points for a real silver rose) for that real 80's turbo GT feel.
Joking aside, I had (have) one and it was bloody marvelous, never tire of the turbo kicking in, just like a smoker coming on the pipe!! (I say have in brackets as it's been in, and stays in, long term storage with a view to it being a project resto when I find the time).

  13. I’ve got a Turbo S (991) and if I chopped it, a DBS Superleggera would be firmly on the radar. A different animal I know, but a class GT has always drawn me… and would also require some la la la la I’m not listening man maths… :imp:

  14. Stick to the brief and stop showing off! This is about me not you!

  15. How can anything else replace a GT3 997, isn’t anything else a lesser car?

  16. could be more comfy :D

  17. Not sure it trumps a GT3! :D

If you want to keep it sporty btw, get a last gen M2. Lovely cars… :):upyeah:

  18. That’s what put me off a GT3. It wouldn’t bother me but Mrs Cringe would have a lot say whilst attempting to apply lipstick or mascara…

  19. I was looking at those this morning, prices have come down a lot since the last time I looked. But it's the running costs that put me off owning an Aston.

  20. i think this is my issue... the gt3 is so epic
but alas it was not getting used enough and having a van means i can direct more time towards bike stuff which has been non existent past 2 years
im excited to see the exige later - its very orange
