Pani Sl Wrecked Bike Rebuild

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Expat Jack, Nov 13, 2025 at 5:01 PM.

  1. I for one will watch this from behind my sofa…..

EDIT. Or not. Lots of needless waffle etc so fast forward a lot. Then at the end it’s a mate who will rebuild it. I may watch depending on how bored I get. Crying shame though, it’s been through the wringer for sure. And I can’t see it being put back to anything like standard for an SL. Anyway, I will leave the post up for you to decide.

  4. There was a SL smashed to pieces on a UK track day a couple of years ago. Dealer who told me said it was on PCP finance.

  5. Silverstone ducati day there was a sl that had been smashed up, so the guy fixed it up buy chucking 100k at it .

  6. It breaks my heart. My absolute dream bike.

  7. I remember. It was beautiful. But still a shame. It’s why I don’t spend a fortune on track bikes.

  14. CJ shouldn’t be allowed to do this though, scares me the stuff he puts back on the road, I stopped watching when he basically put a fire damaged MV back together with zero consideration to the damage fire will have done to the frame, without sounding like a Karen, someone will get killed on one of these YouTuber rebuilt bikes

  15. I do think this is right (Karen ;)). I guess there are different laws across the pond regarding salvaged vehicles. The one that worried me was a bloke in Australia who ‘repaired’ a v2 Bayliss. Admittedly only for track but it did have (amongst a heap of damage) frame damage. Crackers imho and no way I’d ride a bike like that on track where it’s even more important than street to have it properly straight.

  16. But aren't alot of these vids done to make money from the viewership numbers?

Mat Armstrong (cars) has gone from repairing old ordinary cars part time on the drive outside a 2 bed semi, to a huge detached mansion on with acreage , a massive workshop, staff of 5 guys and 15+ supercars...

Goodluck to him, he has done well for himself. But its not really about the cars, its about selling entertainment for large sums of cash.

  17. That only covers difference from insurance payout to finance outstanding. I suspect if it wasn't covered for track and no insurance was paid out, gap insurance also wouldn't be paying out.... lose, lose, lose!

  18. BINGO!
