Hello fellow bikers, I was a regular biker back in the 1970's until mid '80's when i had an accident and didn't own another bike after that although I rode a few very occasionally. So, because the thrill of motorcycling never leaves your blood I dipped my toe back in last November and bought myself a fully restored 1972 Honda CB350 Four. It has been great fun to ride locally and I have been to a few events but travelling much beyond say 50 miles becomes a bit of a struggle. In September I bid on and won the auction for a 1978 Ducati ST2. I had it taken to my local Ducati expert and hope to get it back next week (no, I haven't ridden it yet!!). It has covered 12K miles and has been reasonably well kept but the last service was at 11K miles in 2014 so I decided to make sure it was up together. I am sure as my ownership evolves I will be gratefully seeking advice from many of you enthusiastic people.
Hi Nifty, lovely bike - glad you found the place. My first thoughts were a bit deja vu, my mind plays tricks due to age, but i wasn't far out:- Below is a link to Ross who also joined recently - if it turns out that you live a few yards away then that will be even spookier. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/good-morning.104413/#post-2284470
Thank you for your kind response. I think maybe the Deja Vu was a consequence of both Ross's post and Moto Union recent meeting? I think we met and chatted?
May I please ask a quick question? The entire forum pages are just a cluster**** of third party adverts and it's quite intolerable. Is there a way to access the forum without adverts PLEASE.?
after (30 posts? @El Toro) you can set up a Private Conversation with Ross, or you can tag him to respond, like this :- @Ross Bentley
Thank you so much Chris, I have done it and have to say it's the only way forward. The forum was incomprehensible before.
