Toprak taking the number 7 next year and Celestino Vietti standing in for Frankie today. Looks a bit chilly.
Hopefully more/some action this afternoon. Another reason why they should look at swapping Valencia as the last round though, jeez I’d even take Qatar/the Middle East right now.
I feel sorry for the fans, it’s cold and there has been no action. Still, at least they don’t have to put up with the bloody awful TNT commentary team. Andy
They don’t make my ears bleed like the Yorkshire pudding tbf. Only 5 euro entry fee today, imagine Silverstone doing that lol be a cold day in hell and they’d likely charge ten times that just to park.
Don’t think Toprak embarrassed himself today. 0.7 off Fabio and second best Yamaha. Hats off to Bulega the last few weeks though (on 93’s bike admittedly).
What can be said. A flash in the pan a few years back. Then, just stupid stuff. Rash, inconsistent and tbh just not cutting it. 2026: just no idea what to expect. Almost a wilderness year for development. I mean, why bother? Next year (‘27) will be different! Riders to watch? Thankfully, mostly new blood. And hoping that Fabio, Bez, Martin also have comepetitive bikes and a chance to shine.
Catching up now, having given up this morning and went out for a pizza. Happy with the conversations with the riders/team principals but the continuous stream of utter speculative crap coming from the commentary team is just dire. I want a switch to shut them out and leave the sound track of the bikes. Andy
Agree 100%. And…last race day, that “….er” was not even racing. But was name checked more times than anyone actually ‘ riding’ a motorcycle. Get a grip, ffs! So pleased that we have new blood for next year. Just hoping that things pick up somewhat on the commentary front. But..we do have talent coming through. One thing about motogp, it cannot stand still. Too competitive. After ‘26.. Bye bye, Franky, Vinales, Baggy (yep, next year to prove or gone, like Dovi..) Rins…The beast..(who knows, take away a top bike and where is he?) All change. then we have Binder. I think he has missed the show, esp with Acosta showing ‘how to’. I just hope that ‘26 is a show. Slightly concerned that teams/manufacturers may have more of an eye on the ‘27 onwards situation?
I was watching a doc yesterday where both Uccio and the chief sky Italy journalist were both saying how revered he is in Italy and how no one else could have taken the mantle on from Rossi. I think talk of him retiring is hugely premature and even if he has another bad year on the factory bike he’ll either end up back in the vr46 camp or on *another Italian brand. He’s also 28 and in the prime of his life as a motorcycle racer. No chance retirement is anywhere near the horizon at this point imo.
It's been reported that Nicolo Bulega (in addition to his WSB commitment in 2026), will be a Ducati MotoGP test rider. It's looking like it's a matter of time before Peco departs.
I know Jorge was always full of shit but imagine comparing a back to back world champion with Ben fucking spies
Listening to the TNT comms team yesterday they were saying not to get too fixated on team mates comparative times as they are likely to be testing different components or setups etc to each other.
Doesn’t account for human nature. The newbies wanting to impress and the established riders needing to put the newbies in their place Andy
