Once you have worked out your batten spacings and set your first few slates out ,i would imagine you will thoroughly enjoy the process .
Yep, it’s all about the batten spacing and those first two rows, but then it’s plain sailing if not a little tedious. However very satisfying once it’s finished if your diy’ing.
Looks great, proper slate does look lovely. Rather more expensive and a little harder to work with but worth it And you don’t have hips to cut which is a massive bonus, the four hips took me ages because of all the cuts, I’d have liked gable ends but the planners weren’t happy and it would have blocked more light.
