I think I must have been looking at the wrong model as it appears that the “N” is fitted with a system called “N Grin” which boosts power. It also plays engine sounds through the speakers, which information, for some reason, made me want to dash my phone across the room in annoyance
I rode an electric enduro bike (Stark Varg) a couple of months ago and it took off like a scalded cat even with the power dialled back to a medium setting. I was working my way up to the full fat 80BHP mode, but I crashed the fucking thing and partially dislocated my shoulder, so it was……
Bet it was fun though… until it wasn’t hope you’re fighting fit again? Blokes just love fucking about on bikes…
Cheapest ever for me was £4/5 litres of AdBlue, I bought the whole pallet enough for a couple of years for me.
& For exactly the same reason that pissing in the tank wont work and buying a shed load of AdBlue is a bad idea. The stuff crystalises over time. Especially if stored in sunshine. Was this pallet out on the forecourt exposed to the sun? This is largely the reason it was a stupid technology to start with. Eventually( regardless how little you can buy it for) it will crystalise in the pipe work, somewhere. This WILL block the AdBlue injector/s and the sensors, plural. For cars with multiple sensors they are likely to be matched versions from new. Therefore replacing the failed one might not work with the older version of the one you didn't replace. Ask me how i know. Your dealer will keep changing parts until the problem goes away and you will be paying for this diagnostic technique ( guesswork). My younger brother works for a company with a large fleet of vans half of which are off the road at any one time due to AdBlue/EGR/DPF issues. The annoying thing is the vehicle will run just as well if not better without all this eco crap. Anyone that has had their can re mapped knows this.
Tbh, I didn't really enjoy it. I'd already broken one bike (my Gas Gas) and crashed another (DT175) so I wasn't really feeling it, plus it was very tall (but I'm not), the terrain was very technical and because the left hand lever is the rear brake, I kept instinctively feathering the non-existent clutch which, being the brake, stopped the bike dead and made it topple over. The crash was entirely my own fault though, as I went over what I thought was a flat topped mound but it was actually v-shaped with a steep 20ft slope on the lee side and I wiped out. My left shoulder is so loose these days that subluxations aren't all that serious as it just pops straight back into the socket of its own accord. I had a bad one in 2020 though where it trapped my radial nerve I was in agony for about 6 weeks and I developed a raging co-codamol habit. The worst part about hurting my shoulder when I crashed the Stark was that on returning to my motorhome I found that Iggy had had an attack of diarrhoea and it took me about 3 hours to clean it up as I had to do it one handed.
Going to have another look at the Jaecoo 7 today as the real world reviews I've seen and heard (including 3 people I personally know who have one) give it a huge thumbs up. I may seem sold on it, and to some extent I am, but it really will depend on the px/finance deal I'm offered as to whether I go ahead.
The press reviews are overwhelmingly lukewarm (at best), though. The consensus seems to be that the interior is superficially flashy but actually quite cheap and nasty, the engines (1.6L and 1.5L hybrid) are anaemic, it isn't very nice to drive and it's only saving graces are that it has lots of gimmicky toys to play with and it's cheap.
Get an M6. Great car for the dough now. PS I’m going to be on the lookout for these Jaecoo car things…
