  2. It was a deliberate typo. I actually originally typed “what I boughted” but autocorrect kept overruling me. :D

  3. Of course, as an educated man as I know you are it’s an easy mistake to make.

  6. Apparently yesterday's blood test was a slight improvement on last week's, but my liver's still enlarged, so I'll be going back for an ultrasound when they remember to fit me in. And if anyone puts me in the RIP thread, I'll come back and haunt them.

So if you get the vague impression you're being kicked in the bollocks by one of those puffers for blowing dust off a camera lens, you'll only have yourself to blame.

  7. Yesterday was my birthday so I had a lazy, chilled day. That’s if you can call getting up and down every fucking 5 mins to let the pups in and out of the house into the garden lazy and chilled.

But last night Doris’s son and daughter (and her husband) came over and we had a lovely meal and lots of laughs too. Oh and we had cake :)

We also managed to get the Xmas tree up too during the afternoon:)

  8. Not a fat lot for the last couple of weeks, can't really do much with a broken elbow, got another appointment at the fracture clinic next Tuesday, where they will decide if they want to replace the whole broken elbow or not

  9. Tough shit.

I shattered the humerus. They nailed it back together. Lost full extension, but not by much. Really hasn't been a problem, but I was 20.

  10.
  11. We all definitely fix faster when we are 20.

  16. Bloody hell that’s nice!
Years ago my brother bought one. Living in the Lake District it was down to me to pick it up and ride it from Manchester up north, but not before I had a good go on it.
I remember taking it out into the countryside with my girlfriend on the back, she was a feisty type and insisted she have a go.
So we found an empty car park, she threw her leg over engaged gear released the clutch and bang over it went.
As my brother hadn’t seen the bike pre purchase he assumed scratches on the chrome work and foot pegs were alway there.
    I never did tell him!

  19. None that I was aware of, in my case. I went for the periodic blood test to verify the meds aren't killing me - or possibly that they are. Couple days later a doctor rings to say I appear to have gallstones and my liver's enlarged. Asks if I've had pain, I say only what I put down to the last time I collided with the road - and that it intermittently hurts at the other sites too.

So he made another appointment for a blood test to verify it. Meanwhile I read up on gallstones, had fairly heavy meal, then got the kind of stabbing pains supposedly they give you after a heavy meal. Apparently crash dieting, my usual approach, makes gallstones worse.

But that's not enlarged liver. Since I apparently do have gallstones, and presumably an enlarged liver, I suppose some of the residual ache I put down to the crash, is actually from an enlarged liver.

My mum had serious pain in her side - I was with her at the time. I got the paramedic couple from nextdoor round, they got an ambulance. She had an enlarged liver. About a week later she was diagnosed with cancer of the liver, and a year later she was dead.
