Kind of ironic how he ended up back in 8th at the end of it all, although I’m sure he won’t be that amused. https://www.crash.net/f1/results/1087317/1/2025-f1-las-vegas-grand-prix-race-results
I think you are clairvoyant? After the race HAM said "It's a terrible result. There is nothing positive to take from today," Hamilton told BBC Radio 5 Live. "I'm eager for it to end, I'm looking forward to it ending. I'm not looking forward to the next one." Asked if that meant he was not looking forward to the next race in Qatar, Hamilton replied: "Next season."
Unreal... Piastri lost the lead & Norris didn't even make the podium. Macca have made some good decisions this season and 800 points and winning the Constructor six races back proves it. But today was an absolute howler. On the flip side Max & Red Bull were totally fantastic. Its unlikely that Norris will finish lower than 4th next time to allow him to win his fifth crown, but I would have said that about today too!
If Lando is in fourth place next week and Piastri is in third, I wonder if Maclaren will call team orders to let Lando into third? Lando was off it this weekend, I wonder if the DSQ from last week has has an effect? I’d like Lando to win the championship as a Brit but I honestly see it going to Max again as he is by far the best driver. I said this about 6 races ago and got shouted down by friends, we’ll see!
McLaren will 100% issue team orders for a place swap if it results in a DWC. Piastri will have to yield should such a situation present itself. My money is still on Lando to ace it. Definitely still his to lose going into the final race. 12 points clear with the quickest car under him. But he has to keep his head. Max is a machine and will be in like Flynn should there be any jitters from team McLaren.
Max is the MM93 of 4 wheels At the last section of the race, if Piastri would -probably- not gain enough points to win the WDC and switching places at the finish line with Norris would give him the title, I think they would do it. So if Piastri was 3rd, with Max in the lead and Lando 4th, they would swap I think.
Let me know who you want to win and I'll see what I can do.... Used notes, plain brown envelope, postcards not accepted.....
For a sure fix you have to speak to this guy... He can offer active suspension and guaranteed crashes to get the result you need. Not even an FIA ban stops Flavio!
Watched the first session today missed the second one. Interesting to see Pato O’Ward of Indy racing car fame testing for McLaren and doing rather well.
It will be very interesting to see the final grid positions. Any guesses on who will win the race & the championship?
I think Max will win both the race and the championship. He’s the best out there, he has the killer instinct. I’d love Lando to win the championship but I think he’ll bottle it especially off the start. Oscar is cool and calm but has to win and Lando come 5th? Big race coming up.
I think Max may well will win the race. I'm not so sure that Lando won't be able to finish in the top 3 though. For Oscar to win the WDC, Lando & Max will need to crash!
Even if they did. chances are one of the Maccas will be at least third, and if its not already Lando, Oscar will cede that to Lando if he is in fourth. My prediction pre quali is Max to win the race & Lando the series.
Oscar’s cool and calm veneer has been exposed over the last few races. He’s definitely been rattled and made some mistakes. Still Lando’s to lose imo. If he doesn’t clinch it, it’ll have to go down as a bottle job. But I think he’ll do it…. Max must qualify well- pole or front row. If Max takes pole, McLaren boys will be shitting bricks.
Q1: seven-tenths of a second from 1st all the way back to Charles Leclerc in 18th place. Q2: 15 cars and there is a gap from the front to the back of 0.367 seconds. Final Grid 1. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) - 1:22.207 2. Lando Norris (McLaren) 3. Oscar Piastri (McLaren) 4. George Russell (Mercedes) 5. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) 6. Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) 7. Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber) 8. Esteban Ocon (Haas) 9. Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) 10. Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) 1. Oliver Bearman (Haas) 12. Carlos Sainz (Williams) 13. Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) 14. Franco Colapinto (Alpine) Should be interesting! How did Alonso drag his Aston to 6th? Boroleto also in 7th! Hamilton knocked out in Q1, results like this must be crushing his confidence.
