Spotted this on the dreaded bbc website. Read it. Breathed a sigh of relief. No mention of motorcycles at all. Get out of jail free. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cewjdkj8z2go
After taking the sprocket off we have found some micro cracks in various places, so looks like alloy rear sprockets have a service life. If you use one hard on track I would inspect it very regularly
My guess is that, being Aluminium alloy, they're fatigue cracks. Our big twins probably make this more likely than smoother fours... /nag Steel is an alloy too /endnag
Easy to be smart after the event but I did think that the sprocket looked a bit worn. I would have changed that some time ago.
Just received the Shoei Neotec 3 colour-way I thought I’d bought at MCL. Helmet City have been great, sent me an overpack box and a return label and sent out the replacement helmet within hours of receiving the one I sent back. Andy
Noticed I was losing clutch fluid from the clutch reservoir, glad they’re clear on this bike. Bought and fitted a new Oberon slave cylinder and Hel clutch hose, clutch is so light now
It can but there’s a cut out under the cylinder and it looked to be leaking into the side stand bracket.
