Yes, i understand that, but, i have never spoken to anyone about the things I listed either Another one that used to come up regular was about hooking up with mature women in my local area, I've already got one of those, why the fuck would i want another?
Same issue here, mostly swim wear type stuff. Sad thing is that there really a bunch of bikers where we work but I would never show them this forum for that reason. We have a policy where use of non work websites is fine at lunch/ breaks but they must be ‘appropriate’ and I wouldn’t want to risk it. Go on loads of others and never get this. And as far as I can remember I have never searched for women’s swim wear, or men’s for that matter. Probably the closet thing to swimming I have searched is the location of the nearest fish and chip shop.
Is there a reason not to pay subscription? Then you end up on a fully advert free front page. It's the price of a cup of coffee.
In my case, laziness. Have done in the past but just forget to renew. However the issue with the ads is that they appear when you first go on the site - so would still not be work safe as I would need to sign in first and the settings where I work mean that happen every time I use the site. Not a major issue by any stretch of the imagination but stops me accessing it at work.
Who would have thought that advertisements selling swimsuits for women would be offensive. Not only that, but offensive to men. Don’t want to show the website to other men because there might be an advertisement showing a woman in a swimsuit… Good grief. The advertisement trying to sell shoes for old men to me… I take exception to that one!
Surely the internet policing at work is only relevant when using the work internet connection. Just turn WiFi off & use 4G...
And does the work Internet have a puritanical view and can assess the advertisements that are shown on the website? I thought those are dynamic and it would only be able to assess the content rating of the website. Ducati make beautiful bikes, but I don’t think it’s quite venturing into pornography. Close but… I can’t believe this is a conversation started by a man. I don’t actually think it would even be a conversation started by women who ride motorbikes.
My work settings will auto log out of anything unfortunately, but as I said, hardly the biggest issue in the world right now.
We often sit around at lunch looking at bike websites on our work PCs. Just wouldn’t even think of looking on here because of the ads unfortunately. In the grand scale or issues in my life it doesn’t even warrant a 1 out of 10, but as OP had similar experience and others were saying their ads were different, I posted to say I had experienced similar. Doesn’t bother me, just means I wouldn’t show this forum to mates who may otherwise like to see some stuff on here or possibly join.
