So what have you done today..?

  1. Today I have been food shopping.........spent £70 on absolutely fuck all

  2. Just back from ultrasound scan. Gel all over the shop. Most disappointing. Two ladies present and I didn't have to get my tackle out.

  3. But, WTL, did they look anything like Lucy?

  4. If you superimposed them, quite possibly!

I may have had a close escape.

  5. Dropped the car off at my spray shop. It’ll be 400 quids worth. Not to mention the grinding of teeth.

  6. Hope all went well if it happened today.

As others have said, physio is the key. I don't want to give any false hope here, but my experience is that in these circumstances, the NHS tends to underpromise and consequently sometimes overdelivers; a tactic to keep the lawyers at bay if perfect movement isn't restored as I understand it.

  7. Spent the morning awaiting a phonecall from the hospital, to call me in for my op, I was told if I've not heard anything by 1pm, to call them, they called me at 13:15 to tell me it has been postponed until Monday

  8. Bloody frustrating for you.

  9. Very annoying. That happens a lot. My son experienced it twice each time he needed ops to pin his broken thumb and then again a year later to plate his broken wrist and it happened to my dog sitter when she needed surgery to fix her broken and dislocated finger. Incredibly, they never rescheduled it and basically just fobbed her off over the phone, telling her "Ah, it will probably be ok in the end".

  10. Went out for an hour on the lanes. Realised that after fitting the hand guards last night, the levers are now too high but in order to move them down I will need to completely rethink how the hand guards are attached. Curses! :triumph:

  11. I hope it tastes better than it sounds!

  12. Came back from lunch to an email. My job entails talking to utility companies about ongoing works and upcoming projects; talking to on street officers about problems with ongoing works; fielding calls from our contact centre regarding enquiries from members of the public, and sometimes taking calls from the public & Councillors regarding ongoing works. Additionally I might be required to attend sites & take photographs of works using the phone for evidential purposes, or hold on site meetings.

After Covid, all of our landlines in the office were removed as we were now largely working from home using our mobiles.

Anyway, back to the email (some of you may have worked out what is coming); it was instructing us that the powers that be considered we didn't need mobile phones and that we were to return them by the 18th of December. Attached was a Powerpoint presentation that provided details of the 4 criteria for being issued with a phone; our job description fits all 4.

I sent a reply, & look forward to seeing just how far the air conditioning has spread the excrement tomorrow. :)

  14. They’ve replied and said that I need to provide a rationale as to why I need to keep it; I’ve asked why pointing out that we meet all 4 criteria for having one isn’t enough rationale. One of the managers has also now chimed in.

To be balls pizzled frank, they can have the bloody thing; I’m going next year anyway, I’ll just treat it as a phased retirement. :)

  15. I wrapped all the Xmas presents, cleaned the house, did the laundry and ran around after the pups. FML

  16. Ah the good news is the the pups will soon be dogs. Bad news is they will still likely be crazy until they are two years old.

You may be able to reduce the amount of time you spend running around after them by taking them to training classes. The time required in training is often more than you spend clearing up after them!

But don't give all this another thought. Either way by Xmas 2028 it will all be a thing of the past...

  18. We do do some training with them and in the main it seems to go well, then the little fuckers forget everything and go on a bender........like just ten mins ago.

Little one decided to start his shite on a puppy pad next to their pen but then needed to traipse it around the family area finishing with a flourish as he wiped his arse all over the floor. Good job we have LVT down. We then spent the last 5 mins wiping said arse with wet wipes to get him "clean".

He's having a bath in the morning!
