V4 Lockstop Protectors 2025 Model ?

  1. Keen to understand lockstop protectors on the new 2025 model. I've looked at Spider and looks like you have to drop the bottom yoke. Have I got that right and are there any other alternatives ?

    Thanks

  2. Can’t say for sure in the new v4 but on the original Panigale V2 you do have to drop the yoke to fit the spider protectors. Worth doing. Don’t waste your time with the R&G ones that fit to the air intake. I speak from experience.

  3. Thanks - any good guides out there on step by step procedures to do this ?

  4. Nothing that specific but this process will help

  5. Ok thanks, I've got to take the top yoke off to fit clip ons so I'm assuming that's half the work there anyway.

It's just getting access to all the specific torque settings that may be the challenge.

  6. If you look at the lock stops on the std bottom yoke and the frame, I see the part on the frame being more vulnerable or at least as much as the lugs on the yoke. The yoke is replaceable but the frame would need more work. It does look like if it snapped off there is scope and space to screw something new in there to replace. Im not sure anything would work particularly well in there.

  7. Interesting. I had a significant crash and only had the R&G protectors fitted. The bike went over on its nose and landed on the rhs. Speed was estimated at 100mph plus. No frame damage. Snapped the lockstop clean off the yoke. Smashed the front subframe etc. Photos may help as below. Personally I fit the spider kit but you may be right. This was on a V2, not a V4.

  8. 2025 v4 bottom yoke is different and so is the frame part…
