Stark Varg….. What Have I Done ?

Discussion in 'eScooters, eBikes etc' started by Paul55, Sep 29, 2025.

  1. Saw this on eBay and thought, why not, heard some stuff about them, why not give it a go?

Was then a bit surprised to discover I had bought it, so had to go to Thornton Hundred in Milton Keynes to collect.

That alone is worth a trip to see what they make.

Anyway, got home and could not resist a blast up the road. Went far further than I should have done :innocent: but it is addictive.

Got up to mode four, fifty bhp, but have to go again to try mode five, 80 bhp.

I might finally become that wheelie god I always wanted to be

  2. They are by all accounts really great. I’ve seen quite a few at the motocross with all good things to say about them. I spoke with someone and he said he doesn’t have the 80hp mode because it’s an extra charge but he runs his at 50hp and nothing gets away from him because of how well it puts the power down. I noticed that when you watch them over the ruts they just don’t dig themselves in and spin, they just seem to drive so well.

he also said he can do practice and 3x 16 min motos on a charge, then charge over night which is pretty good. So a lot of fears people have seem unfounded.

I had to spend some time thinking about the reality of it, and I decided that if my went electric and it keeps tracks open all over the country and kids riding bikes it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever, same for things like speedway, shirt races would work for electric, I live in Swindon and the track will never come back, partly I’m sure because of noise

  3. Yep, noise is now an issue everywhere.
What I want to explore is the ability to spec the modes precisely to what I want, then try them out.

  4. I think that’s where people are really getting on well with them, like being able to knock the regen down when tired and let them roll into corners. I’m not sure if the weight is a problem, again not heard anyone say so. There were 5-6 of them at the first round of Nora cup at landrake but not so many at the end of the season, but could have just been coincidence

  5. My lad did a session on one at the Moto 101 which is also a dealer.
He described it as "cheating " what with instant low down power, no gears and being able to set the motor to whatever you want.
The only downside he said was lake of noise !
    Amazing bits of kit.

  6. Mine came originally from Ryan at Moto101. His place is in the middle of nowhere, I imagine that might change in the future. Nice set up they have there.

  7. Useful, sent them a mail.
Got some lights to fit before any more road use. Will give them a call when I need help.

  8. As an ex-MXer, I know a few people who have these, the temptation to have one in SM trim is very high.

  9. Mine is off to @Sharky698 cousins place on Thursday to have road electrics fitted.
In the meantime I have been tearing round the yard SM stylie…..:D

  10. Ask if they’ve a contact page up & running & if yes, whether they want that info posted here.

  11. You mean this?
    https://motoebikes.com/contact/

  12. Yes, I’ve been told that is the correct link

  13. Just looked at the spec of these for the first time….. 900 odd nm of torque at the wheel no wonder they get up and go and only around 15kg heavier than my old exc200…..

  14. I have become something of a wheelie king…..

  15. There’s a great bike world video on the enduro spec one where he tests it to flat, he’s getting 77miles out of a charge, which is oka if you live with trails on the door step or van there, which I think is a fair point. Also I didn’t realise it won’t work with car chargers, that would be a good thing for them to incorporate.

I laughed when he rode it through a ford and basically totally submerged the bike, that was insane

  16. There is a new “back pack” size charger that works off 13 amp.

  17. I replied on one of their videos about a light weight charger and guess what, they are available in February as posted by @duke63
