Dropped into the Valeter’s to see if my bike was ready. The roads have dried up and I don’t want to get it mucky again riding it home. Answer, no. Darn!
Crashed my new (to me) Beta on the road a couple of hours ago. I was riding through a village doing about 30 and stupidly, was looking down at my phone trying to work out where the next trail was, when the old biddy in front of me panicked due to oncoming traffic and slammed on the anchors, so I grabbed a handful and the combination of cold, wet, muddy knobblies and the laws of physics introduced me to the asphalt. No damage to the bike or me, although I face planted the tarmac, so it rung my bell a bit which has left me with a bit of a headache and it’s also put a big hole in the knee and elbow of my pants and jacket. Skerrrrrrrccccchhhhh That would make a nice Xmas card.
Thanks. My right knee and my back are pretty sore this morning and I’ve got a bruise coming up on my chin, but other than that, all good thanks. The back and the knee might not even be related to the crash tbh as I also fell awkwardly about half an hour later when my foot slipped from under me while I was doing a spin turn.
“If you ain’t crashin’ you ain’t tryin’”? Tbh, it was only a slip, but one of those where you get all twisted up. A few weeks ago when I was in Bell Yard, down the side of the RCJ, I even managed to crash when I was a pedestrian by standing on a wet leaf which made my foot shoot out from underneath me. Very embarrassing.
There's a problem with the ignition pick ups, or at least one of them. OE parts or aftermarket ones.? The Pro's and Con's with price / plug and play or other.?
Transferred my Sena SRL3 from my ‘old’ Shoei Neotec 3 and installed it into the ‘new’ Shoei Neotec 3. Next job is to remove a Sena 50S from an X-Lite 803 Carbon Ultra and install a new Sena 60S. Andy
Got the Gs out for a ride….. to the pub (I only had one!) then back home to service the brakes and replace the front pads on it.
Fitted replacement buttons for my after market cruise control on the SS S as the clamp had snapped on the original. I contacted Veridian Cruise about this and they were brilliant. Sent the buttons out free of charge including post (from Canada) parts arrived within a week. Sprayed all the metal work and bolts on both bikes with GT85
Haven’t been to Baffle Haus for a while. I tend to go toe Revs in Moreton in Marsh. Baffle Haus is a good run out tho. Think I’ll wait until spring!
