The Cyclists/ebikers

  1. 9c this morning, a pleasant enough plod about, all on the road unfortunately. 25 miles in the bank. Just over a thousand for me this year which is down a bit on previous years as my regular cycle mate has packed it in due to heart problems. I'm surprised I've been out as much as I have really on my own . It's not many miles compared to some on here but it's still more than I've done on one of my Ducati's this year. Oh dear...

  3. Thanks. I'm 52 in a few days time and we have people at work who are 32 and they get out of breath walking up the short set of stairs .

  4. I’ve barely been out of the garage for weeks. Today would have been perfect but I’m down with manflu.

  5. One day they'll have a nasty health scare, the piss taking will stop and the exercising/pedaling will commence.

  6. Manflu is definitely holding me back, but I cycled to work for a few hours and back home. The wife wanted some meds for the dog so I went out again but included a few miles off roading on my way home.

  11. As my right knee is buggered and will be so for some time, I was contemplating my bike and wondered if anyone has converted their mountain bike to an electric motor.
I see there are some options to fit one in the bottom bracket.
    Any opinions ?

  12. Plenty of ne'er-do-wells flying about on converted bikes. These kits look like the motor is part of the rear hub and the battery slung under the crossbar. Each kit comes with a free balaclava and stab vest...:D
