Streetfighter V4 Sp

  1. For those who own a Streetfighter V4 SP, could you please let me know what the ride is like on the road? All of the reviews I have watched are for track only but I'll be using it on the road most of the time should I go ahead and purchase one. I ride mostly in North Wales, Cheshire and Derbyshire where the roads aren't the smoothest! Any advice would be very helpful in my decision making.

  2. i didnt find my SP2 any worse than a 'standard' V4S on the road. but having said that, they are all 'hard' work on our UK roads. Unfortunately I wrote mine off and replaced with multi V4RS. have scratched the streetfighter itch and probably wouldn't go back to another - unless i lived where the roads were better.

  3. That's the issue I have to be honest. It's an itch that needs to be scratched with the Streetfighter. I do like the look of them though and once I get rid of my Panigale R I'll be thinking long and hard about the SF.

  4. if you're going from pani you will probably find the SF luxury :D

  5. You're probably right. The Panigale R is stunning to look at and polish to within an inch of it's life but riding is a different experience

  6. I was lucky enough to have 1299s but unfortunately did not get on with on uk road even in its softest setting, I then got the SF and have not looked back it’s a weapon. I looked at getting the SP but was concerned about the maintenance of the dry clutch. In my opinion it’s an itch worth scratching.

  7. Mine is the normal S and fine around the pennines and N Yorks moors.
I regularly change the suspension modes on the fly depending whether I am enjoying the scenery or trying to kill myself.

  8. Thanks for the replies fellas. Once the R is sold (which is proving difficult!) I'll be in the hunt for a SF.

  9. Im over 2 years in on an SP2,and still love it....
Not sure on your previous bikes, but unfortunately nowhere near as smooth around town as an inline4,but the fueling is pretty impressive, albeit thirsty.....
Can be a bit jerky in traffic, and quickshifter can also be sometimes a bit clunky, but cured with higher revs.....
    Brakes/Dry clutch EPIC.....
    Lifes short,scratch that itch !!!

  10. I feel your itch @aviating cud, all summer long I found myself trawling through classified ads looking at the SP.

After months on trying to ignore the voices in my head i decided the best thing was to keep my Pikes Peak and just buy the SP (my man maths is somewhat skewed :p)

I've only ridden it a couple of times as only delivered in November and after the Multy It's definately a different experience, although grew up on sportsbikes.
I've found it actually quite compliant in street mode with sport being a little stiffer as you'd expect, not tried race yet but looking forward to spring!
Wind protection isn't great, but then you don't by a naked bike and expect anything else.

Coming from the Panigale i think you'll love it!

Used to live just outside Holywell and moved over Oswestry way a few years back, sill head out to North Wales 50% of my rides so will keep an eye out, can't be that many SP's in up there so will come say Hi!

    Ride safe
    Steve

  11. Thanks Steve. I think once I’ve sold the Pani R I’ll be doing something about that itch and you never know, our paths may cross somewhere in Wales.

  12. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I’ve had lots of Ducatis so know what they’re like around town. After all of the feedback once I’ve sold the Pani R I’ll be doing something about that itch.
