Motogp Barcelona May 2026

  1. Have booked tickets, flights and hotel for the MotoGP weekend in Barcelona in May. Been to Barca a few times but not to the race weekend. Looking forward to it.

What’s the best advice on getting to and from the circuit for anyone who has done it (not on a bike). Understand there are some direct buses that can be booked which seems best. Any input or other advice welcome! Thanks all.

  2. The hotel is called ILUNION Les Corts Spa.

  3. Train is the easiest, you want the R2 to Montmelo (pretty sure it’s the line from the airport at El Prat) and you might have to use the metro to get to the right station in Barcelona. Runs every half hour on race day, €7 or €8 return. We usually stay not far from the Plaça de Catalunya so get the train from the Passeig de Gracia. The walk up to the circuit from the station is about 3km but there is a courtesy bus and taxis are about €20. The circuit is “dry” and your bags are searched on entry. The bar at the Montmelo station serves beer in 700ml mugs and is a fun place to hang whilst waiting for the next train or for the crowds to disperse. Lots of places to eat in Montmelo. Andy

  4. Thank you kindly! Will check those options out! Greatly appreciated.

  5. @Charlie Cox, your nearest R2 station is Barcelona Sant. Take the Metro L5 from Ernest Lluch (400m from your hotel) eastbound to Sant Estació. Then walk up from the metro to the surface station. If you plan your connecting trains, total journey time will be about 50 minutes. You can also use the Metro L5 to Barcelona Sant and then the Metro M1 to the Plaça de Catalunya which is central for the Ramblas and one of the best tapas restaurants in Barcelona, the Ciutat Comptal :D Hope you have a great time, maybe next year for us. 8. Thanks. Had already purchased and didn’t realise that but one thing that is incredible is the value. Was able to get a 3 day pass, plus grandstand seats for my father in law for 95 euros.

  9. Yes, unlike Silverstone, Spanish MGP likes full grandstands.
Last year I bought Misano WSBK, three days, grandstand and Team hospitality with a Pirelli track day on the Monday, €250.
