  3. This ^^^

The continual harping on about the Apollo missions is like a horological version of “my father was a tool maker”.

Everyone already knows the Speedmaster is the “Moon Watch”, so save for proper milestone anniversaries etc, they should give the limited edition schtick a bit of a rest as it comes across as a cynical marketing ploy rather than a genuine celebration.

And I say that as a fan and as an owner of a supposedly limited edition Moon Watch.

  5. I had Moon sole shoes when i was a kid, with a compass in the heel (inside) that collapsed. Made them completely unwearable.

  12. Recently I purchased a Seagull 1963 pilots chronograph, a reissue of the original. Quality is excellent.

  13. The cheap ones are anything from £120 to £200 and have glass backs. Snap the official Sea Gull store is on Ali Express or go direct to Seagull. The savings are greater on Ali Express.
If you want to know more happy to upload pics showing difference between the two.

  14. I went to get the battery changed in one of my G Shocks today and the high street jewellery shop quoted £59 with a 4 week turnaround. The fuck? :astonished::eyes:

  15. Simple, they don’t want your business. The high street retailer I bought my watches from, don’t offer battery changing at all. Andy

  16. @Zhed46 Have you got a Timpsons shoe/watch repair shop near you?
I recently took my Lorus watch that I use when I’m walking into there for a battery replacement, they fitted a “lifetime “ battery ( take it back when it needs a new one and they replace it FOC ) for £29 which I thought was a bit of a bargain tbh ..:upyeah:
