The 35 yr old Fieldsheer gloves that I finally remembered to include in the leather treatment splurge. No holes or tears or stitching coming away. No idea what condition the rubber middle layer would be like, but it feels as supple as ever. I wish I kept the other pair.
I long ago tired of being at historical sites and shepherded around when the only way to gain any insight is to be there alone. And if in the process you get buried by the next pyroclastic event, there'd be a certain kudos in that. Hopefully you'd have enough warning to adopt an interesting pose for future archaeology.
