Had my hospital appointment, what a complete fuck around that was Arrived at 12:00 for a 12:20 appointment, at 12:15, nurse announces that there is a 30 minute delay, no problem i thinks, 25 minutes after my appointment time, my name gets called, oh, did nobody tell you, you need an xray today Was told that out patients xray room was not working, so, I had to go to main xray, queued to book in, got booked in, sat there nearly half an hour, was told i should be at out patients xray, I told him I was told to go to main, he said I could either go back to out patients or wait at main, but there may be a delay, the previous person he told to return to out patients then arrived back at main for her xrays A few minutes later, a nurse came along and shouted out some names, asked me my name, she checked the system, then took some of us back to out patients Had xrays taken, nurse asked me to put my elbow in some specific positions, politely told her it wasn't happening Eventually got around to seeing the consultant, next appointment is in 3 weeks, physio starts on Friday On a couple of positive notes, the brace is now off, so I can start to try and move my elbow and wrist, and the other is, I can now get my jacket on properly
Prompted by a different post about Fowlers Bristol parts dept by @comfysofa I looked at what they've got... I use this Silkoline 10W-40 oil in my R1200S Beemer and they've got 5litres for the 4l price (comparable with Opie 4litres) so I clicked & collected... https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/brow...silkolene-oils-&-fluids/5-litre-special-offer Something a bit odd about Fowlers now is that they've gone all-out with their KTM presence. Clothing (including babies!), paddock/BBQ seats seats, bags, gimmicks and all the bikes.
Sounds like you're getting there, you can put on your jacket by yourself -soon you will be able to tie your own shoe laces! Not too sure about turning down nurses who want you in a specific position though...
These were almost half price in a sale so I went for it. They are just Engineer boots like I always used to wear for day to day riding, I got sick of race wellies that you can’t walk around in comfortably when you get off the bike.
Congratulations; with one photograph you've managed to elicit something from Mrs GG that I haven't in 38 years... sympathy. She normally performs the role of "person taking the piss". She also sympathises with you over the X-rays, as someone who managed to break her humerus in 4 places. What's the secret?
"First of all, thanks for contacting Virgin Media. We'd love to hear what you think about your experience. We'll use your feedback to improve the way we do things. It'll only take a few minutes to share your experiences. Ready to dive in? Just answer the first question below to get started Overall, how satisfied are you with your recent experience of staying with Virgin Media?" Contacted them, eh? I'm not aware of any recent uncontrollable urge to tell them to shove it up their arse. There's been nothing to shove, for one thing. I left them a year ago? Seems like two. At least a year ago then. Since the time I've mentioned on here that I'm on PAYG.
Just been and had this done to commemorate me being dead for 8 mins after my cardiac arrest back in July last year
Had this done on my other arm back in September...............I know it's a "heart attack survivor" tattoo but a "cardiac arrest tattoo" would have been boring as it'd have just been a straight line
I had a Microsoft Teams meeting with my solicitor/trustee and that prompted me to log into my Cater Allen account to check that I still could - on a new computer and having not done so for ages. Got in eventually and there is over half a million in there, so that's fine. I will have to put in some requests soon, as we agreed for me to withdraw £5000 and there will be a legal bill to pay, when it comes. If I stick to under £4000, I could easily get something else, like maybe a new Beeza! But, of much greater importance, I made the mistake of ordering Tanqueray from Amazon. They have been trying to deliver it for days, but unlike normal deliveries where stuff is left in my summerhouse,, they want to check that I am over 18. I think that Amazon are wrong about this. You have to be over eighteen to buy it, but not physically receive it. If I buy booze at the supermarket, nobody runs out to my car in order to check that I put it in my car and not give it to a kid. Nobody follows me home to check that there are no kids waiting for the booze and nor do they stick around for days until I open the bottle! You have to over eighteen to buy, but after that, it is nobody else's business. I will never buy booze from Amazon again. I was only in because I had to be in for this Teams call, otherwise I'd be out, like I was for the last two deliver attempts. It is good stuff, but I will bever buy it again from Amazon!
Bought my rail ticket to Plymouth. And it was unexpectedly cheap! Journey: 1 Cam & Dursley to Plymouth @ £66.50 Off-Peak Return £66.50 (1 @ £66.50) With 1 Senior Railcard railcard(s) Remember to bring the railcard(s) for the journey If I was to drive there, I reckon the fuel could cost more!
Changed the battery on my G Shock. Cost, 35p and 3.5 minutes of my time, compared to £59 and 4 weeks if I’d entrusted it to those chiseling cunts on the High Street.
