Ultimate Rectifier Reg/recs

  1. I now have UK stock of the reg/recs manufactured in the Netherlands by Ultimate Rectifier. I have the two types that will work with pretty much all Ducati. 2 & 3 phase and the later type with direct connectors as per MTS 1260 for instance.
    All the ones I have are of the "Series" design, whereby rather than shunting excess energy to the heat sink, they open circuit reducing load on the generator and also reducing the heat in the cables.
    Most importantly, from my point of view, I now feel I have a product to offer that will enable owners of the older generation bikes to safely move over to Lithium battery technology.

  3. Did wonder about this, when fitting the Evotech tail tidy to the Multi, the rectifier is tucked under the plastic undertray with little or no airflow and I know they get warm..
    Is the UR one a simple swap over for the original.?

  6. Similar to the V-Raptor I commuted on where the reg/rec became a 16k service item.

  7. UR are my go to for replacement r/rs they’re good bits of kit. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and highly recommended.

  8. I'll be booking in soon to get the sprag clutch replaced on my 1098 Streetfighter and have a lithium conversion with a Skyrich battery. I assume there's a reg/rec mosfet for the SF? UR only list them for the 1098 SB. No mention of the SF. I hoping they're both the same.
     
  9. They're the same unit, different location, but the UR unit will fit and connect up.

  11. Good video Chris, explains well the benefit of series over shunt.

    For anyone reading don’t assume that just because you’re buying a mosfet type regulator from somewhere that it’s ok. MOSFET r/r come in series and shunt types, series are the better (but also more expensive) type. It’s worth the extra €£$.
