*Interesting positioning and size of the plate, all the best with that for 30 grand. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-details/202512248794793
this is not an "EBay bike" it's true, i just couldn't find the "EBay items" thread after minutes of searching. this is a good price, just a shame it's in Japan https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/11676086...V3q80fVuXmXED8riM%3D|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2332490
I’ve bought a few bike parts from Japan, it’s always been fine and also it can be hit and miss on weather you get collared for the import costs.
You would think for £80k he would be bothered to write his own advert, rather than relying on ebay's rubbish AI advert writer to do it for him. Also one generic photo, leads me to suspect it's not an advert for a genuine bike for sale, but a fishing exercise or worse.
Damn, might have had this if i hadn't just gone and filled that gap up with my 7th Monster.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267539003359?_skw=ducati&itmmeta=01KFNYNGSKPH1ZN60HG4GBKH4N&hash=item3e4a9137df:g:lBcAAeSwLLVpYP9K&itmprp=enc:AQALAAAAwO7PUuNWmJ++UShgI9tQz/rOsmwaD11oVHdCvmeWoNG32Wcn/XJW5N1wedGVwzlHTP6OVImbFD4Ceg4Imsr+WMit7Qgzo7PJmPtYMmmzQ7PYvQyK0+GUYYA3VcCl2QcHtOBtq37T6lf+yhwXSP34sO4jzhPJHAbUSbuWNOEVbn+NgG3FhNVIk411pXoAkBxIvE9ZTA5g3CIkme/S3/PY8SdE2tSd4kvjLCGHHjR9xZ/u5PHYmvhgwhQoVnV/lyBQ5g==|tkp:Bk9SR4yN1r79Zg
I'm glad you asked Keith, it is horses for courses, but I'm just as fond of the little ones as the big ones and always have been if they've got a certain charm, and the 400 certainly has in a way that makes it different to the 600. The red line is set at 11,000 RPM, and it is a glorious sound. I used to set off saying I would just have a leisurely pootle, but would always ended up ringing its neck like a small two-stroke, and that's the only reason I sold it because I knew I was going to wear the engine out. I changed the oil on mine every 2000 miles to try and balance this, but they are all slightly overfuelled at low revs and there wasn't anything you could do about this with the standard carbs, It was incredible that they ran as well as they did considering they were the same bodies as all the others right up to 900cc. This one has the single exhaust can, which saves a bit of weight, I still have a spare of this somewhere. Also, the mid corner speed on road use, was far easier than a 750 or 900 as you didn't have to be so accurate on the throttle opening, in fact you could just keep it open for a lot of the time.
