2025-6 Panigale V2 Front Caliper Torque

  1. Hi, does anyone know what the torque setting is for the front caliper bolts on a new Panigale V2 are? I have the standard non Onlins forks, although both models have M50 calipers. I believe it's 45Nm but I've seen other makes with M50's spec'd at 35Nm so just want to make sure I get it right. They need pre-greasing with Moly so I'm guessing the correct torque is important.

    Thank you!

  2. 45Nm

  3. Hi TryHarder
This is new to me so it would be good to see the Ducati assembly schedule that recommends pre-greasing the caliper bolts/fixings with molybdenum disulphide.

  5. I don't have one for the V2 but it's in the old one, the V4 and most importantly the ones that I removed had thick black Moly on. They use it for anti cease but the big difference is Moly stays liquid at high temps, others like copper slip dries out. In competition this is important as if you need to swap a hot caliper the grease is still greasy so easy swap no thread damage and longer part life. Anyway I'll go with re-grease and 45Nm thanks again!

  6. Just looked at my Pikes Peak manual and it does say lube with grease B, which is moly disulphide.

  7. The reason i asked is because (you probably know) the type of grease or abence of grease suggested for use, goes hand-in-hand with the torque figure of a fixing, and can result in damage or failure if this is not respected.

  8. That's right which is why I wanted the torque setting as using Moly will change the torque setting by 25% or more from a dry assembly it's slippy stuff so much less friction when torquing up,
