‘At the end of the day’ is another gem and ‘no worries’…every time I say thank you, trust me I’m not worried !
Hyundai i10 drivers. Nailed on you’ll get stuck behind one doing 25 in a 40, who then slams their brakes on in front of a speed camera like they haven’t got a speedo right in front of their eyes. Absolute crabs of the road.
A certain news reader on the radio who makes the word "today" into "ter day" with a pause in the middle. Its "today" you daft bint
Getting emails where the sender has CC'd large numbers of hitherto unknow to each other recipients. At the very least use BCC or even better, if you're a business, use an email marketing platform such as Mailchimp or Mailerlite. It only takes one dodgy contact, one compromised PC or mail account and all those included will be getting more spam.
Biscoff. Plastic bottle tops that are attached to the bottle. Every other driver on the road. Captcha. Why do I need to justify I’m human, to a fucking computer? Adverts, in any way shape or form.
Adverts have got more and more junvenile and humourless with the rise of AI. The worst ones are government information shorts. The latest NHS health questionare thing is a prime example. The one with the stupid hamster talking about its human "mum and dad" learning to eat broccoli and drink less alcohol. It's obviously aimed at adults so why is it filmed as an infantile cartoon of the sort watched by pre-school toddlers?
They’ve been like that for years. There’s a post somewhere on here from about 10 years ago with me bemoaning the infantilisation of society generally and adverts in particular
I'm certain it's a deliberate policy to bring about said infantilisation. Talk to them like babies for long enough and eventually they'll reverse-evolve to think like babies. Either that or it's a consequence of central government employing legions of university-fresh spads who have no experience of life and effectively are still babies.
See above. I think the vast majority of the voting public are far smarter and more mature than the gubmint would like and they're doing their best to reverse that with a bombardment of juvenile subliminal messaging.
I read, decided against responding as I don't want for yet another thread to end up in speakers corner. TBH I regret my reply to your post.
