Just to follow up on recent posts about Baggers supporting MotoGP in 2026, this, https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2025/08/15/introducing-the-harley-davidson-bagger-world-cup/756437, is the Dorna announcement and this, https://www.harley-davidson.com/gb/...ey-davidson-baggergp-series-announcement.html, is the information from HD. There is a short video (1:30) on the HD link, about as insane as the XR1200 series from a few years ago. Andy
Have to own up to being a closet XR1200 race series fan and IMO, you can only look at this Bagger racing as an opportunity to give audiences something to engage with and smile about. Unlike one or two of the riders, I won’t be treating it as serious racing. Andy
No Bradley Smith by the sounds of it https://m.gpone.com/en/2026/01/02/m...ing-harleys-on-european-tracks-is-going-to-be
By my reckoning they have three teams and five riders confirmed for the opening round in 9 weeks time.
Yes, that is what I’ve seen. Have to say that’s a bit if a let down as much if the attraction to me is the lunacy of 20 bikes vying for track position. Andy
From the little that’s been available to read since it was announced, I think the max grid was always going to be 12 bikes this year and when you consider the crappy e bike championship its supposed to replace which had 18 riders 9 teams and 7 not 4 rounds, let’s just say I had my doubts.
I think they should have a Bol D'Or-type start where they need to accurately pack the panniers with 20Kg of travel gear, then go for it.
