Put the carbon bits back on the Multi that I took off last year. It saved £40 on the insurance as the cheapest company wouldn’t accept the carbon as I was one modification over the limit (sounded bullsh1t) but for a job that took a few minutes I wasn’t fussed. This year I asked and they don’t care, go figure as the yanks say. So put back on the bits I took off and it’s looking so much better (thanks a lie, it’s barely noticeable, but looks a tiny bit better).
Build quality is okay, quite a few problems with it when I first bought it new, throttle position sensor was replaced a few times and it used to idle at about 4 thousand rpm, but all sorted under warranty. Done nearly 2 thousand miles and all good now.
I’ve just sold one bike and want to get rid of another 2 or 3, so please don’t go putting ideas in my head
Took some bling parts off of my 765 to return it back to standard in readiness for trading in against my new multistrada. Listed the parts on a Facebook group and sold two items already and have £185 in the PayPal account. Happy days so far.
Ordered a load of AirTags, one for each bike. I’m paranoid about leaving my bike in a hotel carpark overnight even with a lock on it so I thought I’d treat all the bikes to an AirTag.
Bled the brakes on the 996S rebuild, admittedly starting with empty lines, cylinders and calipers is a proper pain... Tried the vacuum bleeder...piece of crap tbh, found two syringes is the way to go! Soon:
changed the front pads but after reading an old post on here yesterday i thought id check my disc bobbins as i never knew they could stiffen up (been ridding 25 years) yep both discs solid, so i free'd them off with brake cleaner a bolt and drill. all free and clean now. could this of been the cause of a clonking noise when going over small pot holes? anyone!
Appear to have killed my panigale bottom end. Girl gave its all at 155mph. Might be after another engine
