Tried to watch some of the coverage but gave up. Way too much jibber jabber and I got confused by the running of different spec cars all jumbled up together. For me, the program is unnecessarily over produced and trying to be “clever”. Andy
Have to say the daytime viewing has been much better (although slightly less impressive) than yesterday’s night stage. Lots of crashing today too. Solberg and the Belgian misery the most notable.
I like the bit in WRC (that as far as I’m aware is completely unique to motorsport) where the drivers roll over the finish line on three wheels, half a side panel missing and three and a half minutes lost but they still have to remove their helmets and tell the person shoving a microphone under their nose “how the stage went”.
Elfyn with a 15.4 second lead after stage 14. Looking good especially as Neuville waved the white flag after one stage and sits in 7th and Solberg in 4th. One more stage tonight and three tmrw to bring it home and take the championship lead.
