Timing Belt Cover, Aluminium, Ducati 900ss

  1. Hello everyone,

As described above, I am looking for a timing belt cover for my 900SS, built in 1993.

I know that such a thing used to exist, but unfortunately I cannot find one.

It needs to be made of metal, as I want to powder coat it. I built the bike myself according to my own specifications and there are still two or three things missing, including the belt cover.

I would be very grateful if anyone could offer me one! :)

    Best regards,

    Lukas

  5. For example, that would also be acceptable. The ‘viewing windows’ can be removed and then powder coated. It would certainly look good.

  6. Sorry, I don’t have belt covers for sale, but they come up from time to time on ebay. There is a set for sale in US currently for sale, hope you have deep pockets! https://ebay.us/m/YM3hDz

  8. If the powder coat is more important than the aluminium. you can machine (windows etc.) and powdercoat the standard engineering plastics used on these (i expect it is ASB but haven’t checked) . UV curable powder avoids the high heat needed on standard powder polymers

  9. Mukeidou is a Japanese seller, not US. His prices are sometimes high, but he sells some interesting parts. Somehow, from where I stand, his ebay UK page only show 20 items, so here’s his EBay FR one which displays over 5000. Definitely worth a visit.

I bought a few things from him when I was recommissioning my 1989 900ss, as he had things l couldn’t find anywhere else. And you always get a little bag of green tea in his parcels. Really nice chap. :):upyeah:

  10. Yeah I've followed him for a few years, as you say he always has some hard to get stuff and often has some nice rare Öhlins for sale, but yeah pricing a bit steep...
