Yes I know what you mean... That said, a good friend whose hobby is arranging social gatherings of friends & acquaintances told me that she always makes a point of telling people that there will be no bill splitting at her nights out. She says its because the broke ones, the veggies, dieters & people that don't drink -are way more likely to turn up. I suppose the tightwads are too. I've quite a few mates that can't/won't cough up for expensive meals and wine. I like to see them too.
I got stuck yesterday at a constant 20 mph behind someone towing a horse box with a Tesla. It seemed a weird combination. I couldn't see the driver but I assumed (I don't know why - well, I do but that's a whole other thread) that it was a woman.
I was surprised to learn a Model X could tow 2250kg. Thought the chassis was a bit iffy for towing. Bet it doesn't go too far though
I think some of them can pull up to 3500. In theory an electirc car should be a good towing vehicle. No clutch to burn out and loads of smooth low down torque. But it certainly wouldn't be my first choice. I wouldn't trust the structure or build quality of any electric car. Too much of an unknown quanity right now. And if you do break one it's likely to be catastrophic and terminal. If she'd tried to tow her horsebox into a field it would have been entertaining to watch.
Getting really short notice of family coming over to stay for the weekend which then turns out to be five days! On reflection I think it isn’t really all that disproportionate!
And people that buy off amazon, then whinge that all their favourite high street shops have gone. Twats.
I work in people's houses... So meet the family, etc. What is it with kids, children, teenagers who when you say hello, smile make eye contact just look at you, don't speak, don't show any interest , just look at you... Parents say .. oh they're a bit shy.... No love they're fuxking rude.. Happens a lot.. Or you find them standing behind you whilst your working and they won't speak or ask you to move.. wtf is wrong with kids nowadays.. we were encouraged to engage and speak to people.. Rant over ...
They probably aren’t used to humans communicating via face to face speech rather than through a text based messaging app or a 15 second Tik Tok.
Not sure how trivial it will end up being but *people who gun it past your house at well over twice the speed limit. Even worse on a Sunday when the little willy pop pop boys have their car meet at the local cafe.
Which leads me onto another subject “not for road use” stickers on motorcycle exhausts when car drivers can seemingly wake you up at 5am from 2 miles away with their popping nonsense.
People in general that can’t f….g spell: Your / you’re There / They’re / Their Could / should have, not f…g of And so on…
I try and give people the benefit of the doubt for most things but for some reason the dose thing really gets me.
