I can live with the spelling issue if the person making the mistake is trying to be helpful as I’ve seen a few times on forums I frequent; if they are passing on knowledge on a subject that is useful it would be remiss of me or anyone else to pick them up on a point of spelling or grammar. It only gets me when some keyboard warrior is trying to talk down to you about supposed gaps in your knowledge whilst demonstrating their lack of knowledge of the English language.
A lot of that is down to keyboard use. I often find myself writing the wrong "there" etc and having to correct it. I know perfectly well the difference between them and which spelling I should have used but for some reason the wrong one gets written on a keyboard when I would never have made that mistake writing longhand. I think it's to do with hearing the sound of the word in your head and the keyboard muscle memory in your hands auto-writing the wrong spelling because you're not watching what they're doing. Longhand writing is about hand and eye. Keyboard typing is sound and memory. Either that or keyboard tapping rots the brain.
Yes, the world is a great place it’s a pity I have to share it with everyone else! jokes aside for me it’s talking loudly.
