My Dealer used to zip tie the connector. This looks like a good mod, but you may have to change the bikes wiring. One thjing that occured to me when I replaced the solenoid for the 2nd time. How old is the replacement (has it been sitting on a shelf for 10 years. My 2nd unit stuck very quickly
I've decided to stick with the original as it works and just zip tied the plug. After a lot of faffing about fitting the air box, every time I struggle for ages then it just happens, the sound of thunder was heard once again. I must say I was a bit sceptical but I swear it spins faster and starts right up.
You must have the same style solenoid as me so good to hear that its best held in by a zip tie for reliability purposes so I'll ensure I do this whilst the airbox is off because with the extra cables in space is tight in there!
