The better roads are out in Wales for me, the roads in Cambridge were mostly terrible for potholes other than the back lanes.
Don’t get me started about the state of the roads!! I live up near Yarm in Cleveland and the roads are a shocking mess of potholes! I had my car MOTd last week, expected it to fly through,…nope, two broken coil springs, £500 quid to replace! Whilst in some queuing traffic, look at the state of this cat’s eye I spotted, if I’d clipped all that exposed metal with the carbon wheels on the Panigale I dread to think what would happen! This country is fekkin going to rack and ruin.
Potholes caused two front punctures on the same night and when the car was MOT’d the other week it needed new ball joints on each side.
Scotland and Yorkshire I only ever visit under protest for work and always in my van. I not go to either willingly, so Wales for me on my motorcycle.

That was a regular thing when I lived in Holmfirth. Tyres were the biggest single expense in keeping the company cars on the road. Patching up the potholes was a complete waste of time and money as no sooner had they been filled in they’d been churned up again with the traffic. The only long term solution is to re-do the roads completely.
