"Bots" are fake applications to join the forum............in the main they are caught by the forum software but some do get through the net and I have to try and locate them manually. They usually have stupid usernames, or stupid/made up email addresses, and absolutely random and unheard of locations. Or all three.
Is that the same as I get every day telling me that my icloud storage has been deleted 50 times in the last week despite me blocking the sender 49 times?
Bot traffic has massively increased to the point they are becoming the majority of internet traffic. In addition to the usual Russian, Chinese & Vietnamese bots this is another consequence of AI and it's use of autonomous data scraping (bots). AI Bots Are Now a Significant Source of Web Traffic
