Spring tomorrow, so time to get ready...

 

Ha Ha. Bit of each. Its allowed to live in the kitchen during the winter (we have plagues of mice). I remove the fairings etc to make it easier to get out. Unfortunately I can't get away with "kitchen servicing!"

 

Rebuilt this in my living room, my 916 is hiding behind the settee

Oh, and my wife is sat on the settee, hidden by the fuel tank

 

Of course she is…….

 

I was finally able to go for my first 916 ride of the year today. Perfect weather. This bike is absolutely fabulous…

 

Just a short spin to check all is well before MOT. It was!

Lee who owns Moto Technica dropped this off for me on Friday. He’s done an amazing job recommissioning and restoring it whilst trying to maintain its originality. It’s only been a 30 year wait for my dream bike.

 

Yes, found them on eBay and had them restored by Steve Turner at TPCS

Very nice. I know I'm a bit biased? But I really like the minimalist design of the 1998s with their lack of "sticker bling"
