Pogi finally wins Milan Sanremo after crashing with 40k to go. What a day and what a race. Pidcock 2nd and the only rider in an elite bunch to stay with him. Even Mvdp was dropped (cyclo cross fatigue perhaps) Superb.
Yep Pidcock did a great ride but Pogacar torn and tattered catching the bunch and going straight to the front and then riding away after del toro had done about 30 seconds was brilliant riding. Then he did the lion’s share when he was away with pidcock and vdp too. TBF if the organisers had put the finish line another 10m further pidcock would have done it…..
You could also say if the Poggio was 500 metres longer they’d have probably been caught. I’m going to watch the last 60k again later.
Was weird that IDT *stint he did for pog especially when you consider some of his recent performances, looked a bit half arsed.
