Spent the entire morning emptying the leaking water butt and attempted a repair with HDPE plastic welding. Third time appears to be successful but I ask you; why do I do it? I waste so much money on stupid things but just can't resist the urge to repair! I guess a lot of us grew up with parents from the make do and mend generation but sometimes I worry about myself. It would take 20 minutes to take the leaking one to the tip and another 20 minutes to buy a new one for £40 but oh no, not me, I have to spend hours trying to repair it which, it would now seem that I have done. Please tell me I'm not alone in these endeavours
You are not alone. I do exactly the same as I find it really satisfying, and hate the thought of anything going in to landfill.
Ducati at the Pioneer run and yes i didn't take any photographs of the older bikes as they're floating around inside my head. Also me in the afternoon chopping up a ash tree fallen branch 4 the next winter period.
i nearly went, wouldn't have missed this 10 years ago but woke too late to get organised. Good to read that you got out - that is one clean Monster.
I didn't know anything about the Pioneer run this year but when you mentioned Shoreham that is just up the road. Is it an annual event and where would it usually start from?
I was thinking of Afroman, his popular and viral track "Lemon Pound Cake", and his recent success in litigation. Police tried to sue him, and were made to look really stupid.
