Throttle Snatchy, Jerky

  1. Hey guys,

Have a SF v4SP with full AKRA exhaust and EVO map.

No matter what riding mode i am in when i approach a round about or a turn and slow down, the throttle becomes difficult to deal with.

Its either to fast or jerky or too slow and engine braking kicks in. Tried pretty much all settings and its still the same. It becomes really difficult to handle in slow speed and roundabouts etc.

It has spacers installed already from previous owner.

    Any recommendations ?

  2. Take out the spacers, suspect they are ruining the feel.

  3. Crap map

  4. Very unlikely, they remove the 5mm spacing between the throttle twist and actuation regestration, they remove 'slop'. I can't imagine riding without the spacers, it feels tacky and twitchy without.

After watching the video, I'd say that doesn't have spacers, that's ~5mm of play from what I can see. Very easy to check - https://ducatispacers.com/pages/faq-spacer-kit

Doesn't the EVO map come with a pre tuned ECU? Doubt it'll be this but the dealer will confirm if it is a managed map.

  5. Probably, but im pretty sure the throttle overrun cutoff is still in place.
Which is a big part of the problem.
If you can hear the engine kick in about 3-4 k revs on the overrun with a shut throttle its still there.
First thing i delete if mapping a bike.
When I had my 851 done in '96 that made a huge difference to rideability
