Pedro demoted to 10th due to everyone’s favourite tyre pressure rule and he who must be mentioned gets a long lap penalty for ruining another riders race. https://www.crash.net/motogp/results/1092403/1/2026-us-motogp-cota-fp2-qualifying-and-sprint-results
Fair for MM I think. That rule is dumb. Feel for Pedro but he must have known and therefore you would imagine that he could have managed it?
Entertaining. Martin went well, must practice his wheelies though Once again, tyre pressure rule needs to be amended or binned. MM. Dont know if there was some karma there, as felt that the Bez penalty (applied today) was rather harsh. It was Mir that had slowed down, with Bez close behind him..
MM definitely made a mistake bringing off Fabio Di Giannantonio and rightly penalised. But tbf a guy with a name that fkn long deserves knocking off his steed. Ridiculous. Should be a cracking race tonight. Unlike the bore fest F1 this morning. Go MM! Bash some fairings!
Its clearly not going to be a repeat of last seasons snooze fest and it will come down to whos the most consistent over the course of the season which makes me think Bez is gifting you know who a way back in with these stoopid sprint race crashes. Could have been a lot further ahead by now as we head back to europe.
Unfortunately MM will have a lot more influence on the outcome yet. Wether it is finding form on the ‘26 Ducati or fitness. At the moment he is not 100% with either. It looks as though race control are going to keep him in check this year, so maybe nobody will get injured because of him. That would be a bonus. I know this was his best track, but he was only 8 seconds adrift, with a long lap AND starting off the front row. Plenty races left. The good news is Aprilia. They seem to have a bike that works on all tracks. They also have two riders who are very capable of taking the championship. Its looking good for more epic races. If Ogura can qualify closer to the front…who knows? Could be the surprise package of ‘26. We have already had better racing than I remember from the whole of last year. That was a ‘snooze fest’ !
^^its a huge shame Fabio and Toprack dont have a decent ride. As to Jack, likeable guy, can only see a role for him maybe as a development rider, though would question that there are not many better choices... Things change. Marquez, he is now 33. With a long list of previous (some of which will never be fully fixed) injuries. He does not bounce like he used to. Just imo, I think he looks tired, which is not a surprise. Most riders would not have come back from what he has. His time is coming to an end though. Same happened with Rossi. There is suddenly a lot of talent in the pit again. Which is great news. The next batch, in moto2 are looking rather talented as well. Just hope new rules dont destroy the spectacle in the near future.
Millers not had a sniff of even a podium in 3 years and two different manufacturers but the maddest stat that came from yesterdays offering was Joan Mir crashing in over 50% of the races hes started for HRC
Oh, you mean like Bezzecchi causing a potentially career ending injury to MM last season?? Yeah, that would be a bonus. You haters have a very short and selective memory
