  2. Could be worse, after 4 months off sick with my broken elbow, I eventually started back at work on Wednesday 18th March, on Thursday 19th, I had a slight mishap, whilst checking the offside wheels on the trailer as I turned in to a farm drive, I put the front left wheel on the grass verge.....

    Oops :triumph: 20260319_151456.jpg 20260319_151517.jpg 20260319_153859.jpg

  4. Did similar a few months back
My nephew misjudged a T junction at speed, luckily on a quiet country lane, and ploughed through into a neighbours hedge almost making it onto their lawn.
The resulting damage has come in handy as it a difficult to see junction and I’ve often shot past it.
Now it very easy to spot from a distance, just look for car shaped hole in the hedge.

  5. On our travels through the back roads of Wales we often encounter holes in hedges where a driver has erred, sometimes the car is still 'parked'.

  9. After getting the bike MOTd this morning I hopefully repaired a leak to the Koi pond window.
Fingers crossed for when I refill tomorrow afternoon.
At least the weather is improving

  11. Shame they don't do that kit for the Transporter

  12. I'm surprised they don't to be honest.
Although their kits are mainly for Cart Spring equipped vans, and replace the original Bump Stop/Spring Assistor.

  13. So replacing these, they aren't just Bump Stops as they are mostly in touch with the spring with any load onboard and are called Spring Assistors:

    With the Air bags:

And then the box with Schrader valves and Gauges somewhere inside:

You can get a kit with a built in pump plus switches and gauges for the dash, but I'm happy go a bit simple on this one and use the tyre pump we carry in the Van.

  14. We’re at the local landlords 60th which is a lock in and includes a free bar. Kenny is currently pestering the dj with terrible music requests while he’s trying to set up (he’s likely got that from his Dad).
Going to be a messy one.

  15. Do you get to make it jump up & down (with an appropriate hip-hop vibe) whenever you turn up somewhere?:D

  16. Unfortunately it's a bit too slow for that.

If I put my Anorak on for a bit, the cars you see moving up and down quickly are on Hydraulics rather than air.
And of course as Air is compessable it can be used for suspension in a bag. Actually my discovery like a lot of modern Land Rovers has Air springs instead of coils, and yes it has adjustable ride height.

To use Hydraulics for suspension you need to connect it up to accumulators where the non compressible Hydraulic Fluid acts on something compressible like air or a coil spring.

  17. Well, I know the tech hydraulics stuff, but taking some mild piss was much more fun ;)

  18. Spent most of the day cooking, as we’re entertaining. Managed to sneak out for a quick dog walk. Was worth it though…
