Ohhhh Woe is me! I feel your pain.

Sold my orange '06 KTM 990 Adventure last year and I still sigh when I see the gap in my garage.

I would buy it back tomorrow but I think the guy who bought it was going to use it as an enduro racer. This fact alone almost brings me to tears knowing what he may be subjecting her to!

I miss the visceral sound the most. That howling V twin, fiery bark on the over run, Titanium Quills with nae baffles designed to wake the dead!

 

I had exactly the same bike with akrapovics...when I took the baffles out it was utterly obscene...

 

Still regret selling my Rd80lc in the early 90s , I don't always learn from my mistakes, but I did that one and I stored my 748 for 14 years , and I so glad I didn't flog it .

I just tend to keep buying them....always regretted selling my hyper 1100 evo years ago...and at that point, kept the z1000 i bought to replace it....paid it off...and then bought another, garage is currently full at 5 bikes....which is now where it'll sit til im too old to ride them, ill scale back down and keep the z1000 (hands down best bike ive ever owned) and my old man's 400/4 (for no more reason that its my late fathers bike).

 

At a loss with what to do with my 1999 996 SPS, owned it 24 years now, needs a full restoration really but that's beyond the level of my patience, hope to get the 1098 R on the road this year,..

And times change, we change -we don't get any younger!- I've sold two cars, two bikes and a boat in the last year (or so). All wonderful bits of kit, upon which I lavished lots of time & beaucoup dinero.

I've spent the money on one and a half bikes, a van but no boats.

Reinstated my 748 a couple of years ago from sitting dorment for 14 years and i absolutely love it still .probably more now than in the past.

I useit for occasion work commute and a pop to the shops ,
