So what have you done today..?

  1. Remodelled my front garden with an old mate for most of the day. Fuck me we're getting old 'cos everything aches! Had to have a deep bath then go & buy a curry & strong beer to ease my evening....

  2. Fantastic…
My advice to Mrs Pete is ‘Don’t spend it all at once…’

  3. Made my debut for the Warren League team and got a win. However as a result of a handicap cut it will be my last game for them for a while. Never mind, it beat getting my arse kicked by an 11 year old :)

  4. Today I am fitting/replacing patio lights. And I think a trip to the local garden centre would be useful too.

  8. I was going to post some private shit about my settlement and Canaccord. They've waited for me to get to Spain in order to tell me they've charged me £500 and lost me £5000!

I am annoyed with myself, as we had an online meeting to start with and they reckoned that it would take ten years to show a profit. Big red flags and I expressed my concerns with my solicitor/fund trustees, but she said have faith.

We are putting the rest in government income bonds. I did the forms for her before I left.

Ok, the return isn't great but I get paid the interest every month without having to plead. And they're safe, but With Canaccord, who I expect will make excuses after excuses not to give me anything - except bad news.

I'm sixty six this year and I don't know how long I have, so I want to do this now and not in ten years time when I will be 76..

No one else seems to get this. It's not like I want to piss it all away on something. Government bonds are safe and provide income. You can sell them, if need be and you get back what you've put in.

Maybe I am thick and just not cultured in losing money. It looks that way.

And Spain is fecking cold, I didn't sign up for this, but that's my life.

  9. Ok, I messaged up. It's 13 degrees c, feeling like 12. Not fair!

  10. It’ll be 18*c by Tuesday
Just get yourself over to a nice little bar enjoy the tapas and Cervezas DouGall's

  11. Frankly at 66 you may as well go for a blast on some of your own money, its all downhill from now on.

Malaga is a £59 train ride - 9 hours. Or £80 on a plane and an hour forty. Its sunny and 20 degrees -22 tomorrow!

  12. Having returned recently I’d highly recommend Malaga. Lots to see and do, Cracking beach also.

  14. Was my Multistradas turn for a blat round today.

A bimble through the West Sussex countryside then back along the coast with a diversion for a Coffee at the beach cafe by the Ferry Inn on Hayling Island.

  16. Went to Olivers Mount road race for the first time since it was shut over safety fears after a major incident.
Good days racing, made a bit sobering to think about the racer killed there yesterday

  17. Waited for summer, or even a little spring. I got autumn...

  19. Spent most of the day in Leicester Royal Infirmary, my Brother-in-Law had a seizure last night, luckily he was staying with us for the weekend, he has had a few minor strokes recently, he had a brain bleed last night, then a further, bigger brain bleed this morning, so much so, the doctors at LRI sent the scans to the neurosurgery dept at QMC, who later responded that surgery was not going to be beneficial for him, as it would be unlikely that he would actually make it through the operation, and, if he did, he would have zero quality of life, unable to talk or move

All this after my father passed away last Monday :sob:
